5 Families Slot (Red Tiger)
5 Families is a slot machine from Red Tiger, and for this new title, the developer chose to go with a mobster theme.
Red Tiger has the implemented the game quite well, and out of the mobster themed slots that I have come across, the visuals on 5 Families are the best.
However, not all the features are as impressive, but I will talk about that later on in this review:
Red Tiger has used an impressive 5 reels setup for 5 Families slot game. Besides, the game also comes with 10 active lines.
Feature-wise, the game does not perform very well, as the developer has not provided many features on it.
Actually, only a VIP Room is available, and this is what you use to gain access to the multipliers.
Betting and Prizes
Betting on 5 Families starts from as low as $0.10 to as high as $100 per spin. This is a good betting range, and it makes this slot an ideal one for high rollers as well.
For the top jackpot, Red Tiger offers up to 1,000x total stake. Assuming you use the highest bet prize, and it happens to be your lucky day, you can take home as much as $100,000 from just one spin.
5 Families is a medium volatility slot, and I’m not quite impressed with the Red Tigers decision to give it an RTP of 95.69%. This is below the average that we see on most modern slots.
5 Families Slot Features
On the features part, 5 Families doesn’t do very well, and I was surprised to find out that even the wild symbol, which is the most common feature on many modern slots, is missing.
The slot uses a system that awards you for being lucky. The reward is a bullet, and this will be rewarded each time you have a winning spin where a combo forms.
There is a revolver where the bullet is added, and up to five can fit in that chamber. However, if you lose a spin, one bullet will be removed. It is quite challenging to get to the five bullets which are the maximum.
Up to five consecutive rounds (these must-have won) are required for you to fill the revolver with 5 bullets.
Once you are able to get a full chamber, the VIP Room mode will be triggered. The game remains in this mode as long as you get wins. However, if you get 5 losing spins in a row, the feature will end.
While in the winning mode, you will get the help of a 5x multiplier. This boosts winning in the base game to as much as 20 xs. The maximum of 100x per line (10 lines are available) gives a total of 1,000x.
Theme & Design
The 30s era mafia themed design is what you are getting on 5 Families. When you add Red Tiger’s design to it, the slot comes out as one of the most gorgeous slot machines out there.
Unlike other slots that include unrelated symbols, 5 families only use symbols that are relevant to the game.
Among its symbols are 5 mobsters that reveal the characters in retro clothing.
Low-value symbols are booze, casino chips, a briefcase filled with money, and a handgun with a newspaper.
I appreciate the design that Red Tiger has pulled for 5 Families. The graphics are good quality as well, but the games lack features that would otherwise have made it more fun.
