Ancient Warriors Slot (Microgaming)

Crazy Tooth Studio has developed a slot game titled Ancient Warriors, which is exclusive to Microgaming casinos. Ancient Warrior uses inspiration from the Asian market, which means plenty of Chinese-themed symbols.

The slot uses the see-thru-reels concept, and the most unusual features and modifiers. Personally, I do not see anything special with the slot, but if you are already used to risk, read this review:

Game Set-Up

Ancient Warriors is designed on 4x6 reels, together with 50 active lines. This is not a common setup, but the developer seems to have done quite well with it.

The rewards that you get will come via the assistance of several features that come with the game. These include its two wilds, one with a multiplier, and the other one with free spins.

Betting and Prizes

$0.20 is the least amount that you can use to spin the reels. However, you are allowed to use as much as $115 on a single spin.

I’m disappointed with the low rewards that Ancient Warriors offer. The maximum top payout is 1,807x the stake. This means that the highest possible amount that you can get from the slot is about $207,000, which is on the lower side considering that the slot is highly volatile.

The RTP is great though, and at 96%, it is within the average in the industry.

Ancient Warriors Slot Features

As I have mentioned, the game has two wild features: with one coming with a modifier, while the other one free spins.

The one with a multiplier comes with a Chinese sign, and it must appear on several reels (stacked vertically) in order to deliver to regular wilds. If it appears horizontally, it will deliver multiplier wilds. For this to happen, you must land it on 3 to 5 reels.

Then there is the wild with a Yin Yang logo, and this is the regular one. It can serve as a regular substitute, meaning. You can use it to form winning combos.

Another wild comes with a multiplier. It can randomly select its value, and this can be either 10x, 5x, 4x, 3x or 2x.

Finally, there is the scatter symbol, and this one delivers up to 5 free spins. However, for this to happen, you will need to land 3+ scatters on the reels.

Theme & Design

Ancient Warriors has a Chinese theme, but the developer has done a better job with the overall design, than the majority that comes with the same theme.

In the background, you will notice some images of nature, with Chinese temples well placed in the background.

The reels have some interesting symbols as well. And these include monkeys, cats, and serpents. Royals are present as well, and the see-thru mechanic brings in something that is quite unique.

Conclusion

If you are looking for something different from this already overused theme, then Ancient Warriors is the best deal.  

The game is fun, but the low rewards and high volatility make it a game ideal for casual gamers.
