Blirix Workshop Slot (Iron Dog Studios)
I love the way this developer uses creativity to design their games, not to forget the accompanying features that are great as well.
This particular title uses a wizard/alchemist style-design, and the action takes place in a laboratory.
After reading a small preview of the slot, I was quite intrigued and I decided to try it. I will share my experience below:
5x3 is the design that the developer as used for the reels, while you will get up to 20 active lines.
Nothing is unique with the features and they include the usual wilds (expanding), multipliers, scatters, as well as some free spins.
Betting and Prizes
The range sits at between $0.20 and $20 per spin. This might not be very attractive to high rollers, but Iron Dog offers an opportunity to walk away with a top payout of up to $30,000.
Blirix Workshop offers medium volatility, and I love the fact that the RTP is quite fair, at 96%.
Blirix Workshop Slot Features
The Flower Wild is the symbols that I used to substitute other symbols. Occasionally, it expanded to cover the entire reels.
To trigger this expansion, the Flower must land on the bottom part of a reel. From there, it will grow just as real flowers do, and will eventually expand.
However, you will not be able to replace scatters with it, but only the regular icons. Also, the wild is able to apply a 2x multiplier on the game.
If the Spell Book lands on the 3rd reel, it will be used to replace a majority of the regular symbols, so it also acts as a wild.
The symbol will also serve as the slot’s scatter icon, I love the fact that with it, there is huge potential to bring other symbols on board.
At this stage, it can apply a multiplier of up to 5x, in addition to offering other extra wilds or upgrades.
In the regular scatter, I noticed a Blirix inside, and I was only allowed to use it upon hitting 3 at the same time. This will in return give you between 10 and 20 free games that come with special mechanics.
Theme & Design
The cute design that Iron Dog has used goes a long way in attracting players to the game.
It is interesting to see the magician/alchemist like act as the slot’s main character, together with his laboratory that is strategically placed in the background.
A few of the symbols are unrelated, and they include the four card suits. However, the developer has designed them as potion bottles, so as to fit in with the theme.
Others include a bucket, a flower wild, lantern, pipe, and a timer. Blirix acts as a scatter, while Spell Book is the secondary wild.
Blirix Workshop is a very good video machine, and I must recommend Iron Dog for using several unique features that give players satisfying gameplay.
Thanks to its mild/medium volatility, the slot is suitable for all levels of players.
