Book of OZ Lock n Spin Review (Microgaming)
Book of OZ Lock n Spin is a video slot from the renowned game developer, Microgaming.
The slot comes with 5 reels and 10 lines with a relatively high return potential of 5,000xs which can go to as high as $125,000. Book of OZ Lock n Spin has a long list of features that include the latest addition of Hyperspins (paid locked reels), free spins, and special expanding symbols as well as my favourite which is the scatters.
I was also impressed by Microgaming’s decision to give this slot an RTP of 96.60% which makes it really stand out.
Betting and Prizes
The betting prizes on this slot start from as low as $0.10 per spin ($0.01 per line) to a maximum of $25 per spin ($2.50 per line).
Book of OZ Lock n Spin is a highly volatile slot with huge return potential. It offers up to 5,000xs highest stake which translates to about $125,000.
Book of Oz Lock ‘N Spin Slot Features
Book of OZ Lock n Spin is a sequel from the original Book of Oz, with this slot, there are no major changes to the features and most of them look just the same way as to those found on the book. However, there are a few changes like the inclusion of the Second Chance and the Hyperspins.
With the Hyperspin feature, you will be allowed to pay more money that will also enable you to lock particular reels while you re-spin others. With Lock N Spin, expect a minimum of four reels that the game allows to be locked: all the others are available for re-spins. There is no fixed price that Book of OZ Lock n Spin has set and all prizes depend on the potential rewards that the re-spin bears.
Normally, it’s during the free spins that we get to see the magic in most slots. It is the same case with this slot and the free spins are triggered with the help of scatters.
There is also the Second Chance feature that allows you to select another expanding symbol in case the first choice is not good. This could result in a much better expanding symbol which could also be higher in value. However, it’s important to be open-minded since the occurrence of the symbols is random and you can also get a low-value symbol.
Theme & Design
Book of OZ Lock n Spin’s theme is inspired by the Wizard of Oz but most of its graphics are identical to the ones in the original Book of Oz slot. Microgaming did not make any major improvements here which make this slot relatively boring. The slot’s symbols include elegant Royals and potion bottles that come with card-suit inspired corks.
If you loved the original book then you may find this slot by Microgaming enjoyable. Personally, I liked the RTP of the game that is way above the industry’s range. The game lacks in features and the boring graphics do not do much to make the game entertaining.
