Books and Bounties Slot (Gamomat)

Books and Bounties Slot (Gamomat)With the idea of dragons, books, and medieval castles written all over it, Books & Bounties is the newest 2021 title from Gamomat, and it’s a slot that tells a very interesting story.

Although the slot doesn’t use an entirely new idea, it is still not a common story, and here is my unbiased review of the game:

Game Set-Up

Books & Bounties is a 5x3 reels design with just 10 active pay lines. Looking at its major features, there are wilds, scatters as well as free spins.

Betting and Prizes

Although there are 20 pay lines available, I was able to use just 5. Wagers range between $0.10 and $6 per spin, an idea that may not be well received by high rollers.

However, the top prizes are a good motivator, where up to 5,000x the stake is possible from this title with medium volatility.

The RTP of 96.16% that Gamomat has given it is fair, and well within what is provided by a majority of modern slots.

Books & Bounties Features

The slot allowed me to understand the kingdom and I was tasked with the job of protecting and assisting Cadoc to defeat supernatural creatures. This is the only way that you can collect the royal bounties.

You will notice that a lot of ideas here borrow heavily from the Book-style games.

There is only one feature symbol known as the Book of Beasts. It is what I used to substitute the regular icons, but only after they landed in the right position.

The same feature triggers the free spins, but only if you manage to land 3 to 5 of them as scatters.

This is how I got myself 10 free spins, and a bonus icon was picked from the regular ones. It’s a symbol that is capable of expanding and covering the reels, after which it pays as a scatter if it’s on an active line.

The second version of these free spins will be activated using the Bounty icons, and for this to happen, they must land 3 to 5 times in just one spin. Cadoc will serve as the wild here, while the Beasts become the bonus symbols that expand on the reels.

Theme & Design

It may look like a Book-style game, but in the real sense, it’s not. I enjoyed the medieval/fantasy inspired visuals that blend well with the features and the symbols.

The low-paying Royals are not very exciting, but there are better-paying symbols that include images common in stories. These are lizards, snakes, green wolves, and a gryphon (which appears as half lion and half-bird). Cadoc is the highest value symbol.

Conclusion

Overall, Book of Bounties is not a bad newcomer in this popular Book category.

It offers something that enables it to stand out from a sea of sameness, and you will enjoy it if you love this category of games.
