Carnaval Jackpot (Microgaming)
Carnaval Jackpot comes to you via Microgaming, in partnership with Pulse 8 Studios.
This new title is a sequel for a previous slot known as Carnaval that was as released in 2015.
It offers lots of improvements, and I was immediately hooked to it. Join me as we take a deeper look at Carnaval Jackpot:
5x3 reels are the slot setup, and on it are 9 active lines. This design suggests that the slot has borrowed from the classic setup.
It’s a medium volatility slot that offers features like scatters, wilds, and an interesting concept known as Hold and Win which works alongside streak respins.
Betting and Prizes
With just 9 active lines, Carnaval Jackpot allows bets starting from a low of $0.27 per spin. The maximum amount that you can put per spin is $54.
The payouts that Microgaming has offered with Carnaval Jackpot are pretty awesome. Despite it being medium in volatility, this title can deliver wins of up 4,000x the stake.
96.04% is the RTP available, and it works perfectly for a medium volatility game.
Carnaval Jackpot Slot Features
One of the most obvious features is the wilds, and these are very helpful.
Then there are scatters (scatter logos) as well, and with at least 3 such symbols, you will be able to trigger the slot’s available Jackpot Respin.
With an initial 3 respins, you will get additional scatters. These, combined with any other scatters that appear will remain on the reels, up to the time when the feature is done.
It might take you long for that to happen, but if you manage to cover the entire 15 positions with scatters, you get to walk away with the Carnaval Jackpot of 4,000x the round’s stake.
Theme & Design
The title is purely based on the older release, Carnaval game. However, Microgaming has spiced it a little by adding the Jackpot Respin feature.
The interface looks better, and so are the symbols.
For the symbols, the new title offers icons of a Wild logo, a Scatter logo, a Dancer, Flag, Clown, Trumpet, the game logo (top symbol), as well as some lo-value symbols represented by Royals.
Overall, Carnaval Jackpot delivers a great improvement when compared with its predecessor.
There are improved features, a better design and a better gaming interface.
However, I also noticed that Microgaming has reduced the RTP from 96.94% that was in the original, to 96.04% for this newer version.
This is a huge difference, and one of the reasons why many players would prefer the original version of this game.
