Doom of Dead Slot Game (Play’n Go)

Doom of Dead Slot Game (Play’n Go)A few years back, Play’n GO became popular with the launch of their Rich Wilde series. Fast forward to 2020, and the developer has introduced us to the daughter who has taken the lead in both Cat Wilde and the Doom of Dead.

I got an opportunity to play this game immediately it was released into the market, and here is my preview:

Game Set-up

Doom of Dead is a five-reel slot machine that also comes with 10 pay lines.

It’s an interesting set up that involves a Cat combing through some spectacular Egyptian temples, as you search for lost treasure.

If you played The Rich Wilde series, you will bear me witness that the slot did not have very fancy mechanics. Play n Go seems to have applied the same tactics on this new slot, given its very basic set up of only five-reels with 10-line setup.

Betting and Prizes

To place a wager on this slot, you need between €0.10 and €100 per spin. The slot’s bar that is located at the tail bottom is a convenient way of selecting a wagering amount.

The Doom of Dead comes with an average RTP of 96.29%, and the game is highly volatile.  The maximum amount that the slot can award you is 5000x the stake.

Doom of Dead Features

The Eye of Ra is the game’s wild symbol, and you can use it to substitute for regular icons.  With 5 wild symbols, the slot can deliver payout of up to 100x.

The scatter is present as well, and you can use it to trigger the slot’s free spins. To trigger the 10 free spins, you will need to work and land the scatter on reels 1, 3, and 5.

You can retrigger free spins, and there is no limit on the number of times that you can retrigger the bonus.

Theme and Design

The action takes place inside an ancient Egyptian tomb.  Some of the background images present here are columns, snake ornaments, as well as some sand.

Stylized Royals are also present to represent the low-value symbols, while for the high-value ones; we have scarab, Anubis, Sphinx, and Cat Wilde.

Doom of Dead doesn’t bring anything new on the table. Its mechanisms are old concepts that have already been used by slots like Book of Dead.

Nevertheless, Doom of Dead still gives players a taste of quality when it comes to quality and design. Personally, I find the music, animations, and graphics to be quite enjoyable.

Doom of Dead may not pick up on the success of the previous games from the same series, however, its excellent RTP and good payouts are enough to attract many players.
