Dragon: Hot Hold and Spin adds to the long list of slots that have been released by Pragmatic Play. It has borrowed part of its theme from the Chinese as is evidenced by the Asian dragon present.

I will share my finding of Dragon: Hot Hold and Spin in the review below:

Game Set-Up

On its 5 reels are 5 pay lines, and the slot also offers excellent features like a Hand Fan Wild, Dragon scatters, Money Symbols, and the Hold & Spin respins feature.

Betting and Prizes

Given the few pay lines, the slot only allows wagers of between $0.05 and $250 per spin.

As a real money gamer, I took a sneak pick at the top payouts and realised that it is possible to walk home with as much as 5,000x the stake from just one spin.

Such high payouts usually come with a significant risk, and that is why we are seeing high volatility. However, an RTP of 96.70% is more than enough to tackle this level of variance.

Dragon: Hot Hold and Spin Features

The Hand Fan Wild is one of the available features, and with its help, I was able to use it as a substitute for the regular symbols. However, the wild cannot be used in place of the Dragon or Money scatters.

The Dragon scatter will only show up 3, 4 or 5 times, bringing with it rewards of between 1x and 100x the stake.

I love free spins but unfortunately, Dragon: Hot Hold and Spin does not offer any. It. What you get are special Money icons landing at least 5 times within a single spin.

With the Hold & Spin moving, it will lock the Money symbols, while removing other icons. Afterwards, you will be given 4 respins, as you work towards getting additional Money icons.

The Big Money Wheel is what will come in to replace the guaranteed jackpot, which would have been paid by other similar slots, so it’s not a great outcome.

Theme & Design

Pragmatic Play has gone with an Asian theme for this title, and there is a mix of symbols in it.

I came across a Dragon (scatter), Hand Fan (wild), diamonds, silver coins, gold coins, Frogs, Gold Ingots, Paper Lanterns, Flowers, and Chinese-styled Royals (4).

Conclusion

Dragon: Hot Hold and Spin offer very decent gameplay, and you will love it more if you enjoy Asian-style designs.

The high volatility may not work for everyone, but Dragon: Hot Hold and Spin is a great slot with excellent potential.
