Eye of Atum Slot (Play n Go)

Eye of Atum Slot (Play n Go)Play n Go never runs out of ideas, and their latest slot titled Eye of Atum relies on the original god of Ancient Egypt (Atum) as the centre of interest.

The ancient Egypt genre has proven to be a fertile hunting ground for slot developers, and there are hundreds of games out there that borrow from these themes and graphics.

In Eye of Atum, the developer has changed the god that is commonly used as the centre of the action, which makes it a little unique from what we have seen previously.

Here is more about the slot:

Game Set-Up

Eye of Atum offers 5x3 reels, with just 10 pay lines. This slot has several features that include scatters, stacked wilds, and free spins, among many others.

Betting and Prizes

I’m one player who doesn't shy away from trying new slots, especially playing for real money, and on this slot, I was allowed bets of between $0.10 and $100 per spin.

This betting range ensures that everyone is brought on board, and both casual players and high rollers can get into the game and spin several real money bets.

However, compared to other Play n GO releases, I must admit that Eye of Atum doesn’t quite perform well when it comes to the overall payout, as the slot can only pay a major jackpot of $200,000 xs the stake.

Even with such a low payout, this Play n GO slot comes with very high volatility. Luckily, the RTP of 96.20% helps tame the high risk.

Eye of Atum Slot Features

The slot is rich in features and the wild symbol among the things that make Eye of Atum very interesting. I got this feature in the form of an expanding symbol, and this will cover the entire reel and contributes to all winning combinations. The only downside is that it's only available on the 2nd to the 4th reels.

Accessing the game’s Free Spins requires the help of Pyramid scatters. These must also land 3 times, and in addition to triggering up to 12 Free Spins,  the feature will also reward a prize of up to 500x the stake. You can get additional Free Spins by landing an extra 1-3 wilds. This way, you will be rewarded with another 1-5 more

Theme & Design

The game uses a very common style in the Ancient Egypt genre. The reels have the usual decorations and a common background image. The action seems to be happening inside a temple that is dedicated to Atum.

As for its symbols, Play n Go has used icons like Royals (lowest-paying positions),  while the better-paying ones include the Whip, Ankh, Eye of Atm, Lotus Flower, Bastet, and Scarab. The Pyramid serves as the scatter, while the wild is represented by Atum himself.

Eye of Atum relies on a common theme, and I'm also not very impressed with its low payout potential that does not blend well with the high volatility.

I enjoyed the features and the above-average RTP though, but from my experience with the game, I can only recommend it to casual gamers.
