Game of Thrones: Power Stacks Slot (Microgaming)

Game of Thrones: Power Stacks Slot (Microgaming)Game of Thrones: Power Stacks joins the list of the newest, 2021 releases that Microgaming has developed in partnership with several smaller developers.

For this title, the renowned developer has partnered with Slingshot Studios.

This is not their first branded title, but hopefully, but it looks like they have done a much better job with it.

I was attracted by its huge fixed jackpots, and the good graphics, especially the real photos of actors from the movies.

After depositing some cash, and playing the slot for real money, here is my unbiased review:

Game Set-Up

The two developers went with a 5x4 reels, design, providing a big game area, although the slot offers just 40 active lines.

I enjoyed the Power Stacks system, and with it, I had an opportunity to try out some jackpots (there are up to four fixed jackpots).

Features are great too, and among them is the Link & Win system, together with its jackpots. Other are a wild symbol, free spins (comes with some multipliers), and stacked wilds.

Betting and Prizes

If you want to try the slot for real money, then prepare to use between $0.20 and $20 per slot. The good news is that whatever the amount, it will go into covering all the 40 available paylines.

There are some fixed jackpots that come via the Link & Win feature, and these are what you should aim at if you want to hit it big.

25,000x the stake is what Game of Thrones: Power Stacks offers, but I also noticed that it’s a very risky game to play given its high volatility.

The RTP doesn’t do so badly though, and at 96.20%, it is within what we see on many new slots.

Game of Thrones: Power Stacks Features

One of the most basic features of this slot is the wild symbol. As usual, you can use it to substitute the regular symbol, and you can also use it to form its own wins.

With the Power Stacks feature, the symbol that gets to land stacked will be automatically picked for the current round. It may look like a simple feature, but it is a very powerful one.

The scatter symbol (Iron Throne) is what I used to trigger the free spins and to effectively do this, I was supposed to land it 3 to 5 times on the reels. The result was a reward of 15 free spins.

The feature that I find most profitable is the Link & Win Respins. To get started with it, you will need 6+ Money symbols, and these must land at the same time.

Afterwards, the other symbols are removed, and as you work towards hitting more Money Symbols, you get 3 respins.

When new Money icons land, they will turn into sticky form, after which the respins reset back to 3. The process goes on until there are no more respins happening.

Theme & Design

As I have earlier mentioned, the title is a branded game, and with it, there is a glimpse into the famous world of Game of Thrones.

The symbols here include house logos (lowest value icons), while the high-value symbols include images of real characters/actors from this movie.

Conclusion

Game of Thrones: Power Stacks is a good slot machine and I can say that Microgaming did it well by giving it a massive improvement over the original GoT brand that we have seen previously.

I enjoyed the game, and especially due to its superb graphics and big potential, but since it’s a highly volatile slot, I can only recommend it to professional gamers.
