Kingmaker game review

Kingmaker Slot Kingmaker is a Megaways slot that was developed by Big Time Gaming. Just like its name suggests, Kingmaker offers up to 16,807 pay-lines. On the left side of the reels are 4 banners which have different colours. These 4 banners represent the different Houses that are in this slot.  There is also a gemstone symbol on each house.

For every 5 gemstones that belong to the same colour you land, you will notice a corresponding banner. This is what Kingmaker uses to indicate the increased multiplier by 1x. These multipliers have no upper limit and you can use them to build a massive multiplier before you get to the free spins.

The max win amount is 10,000 times your stake and Kingmaker offers an RTP of 96.65 %, which is very decent for this highly volatile game.

What symbols are there?

Gemstones are the high-value symbols here. There is also a multi-coloured wild which is used to represent the 4 houses combined. Here is how Big Time Gaming pays:

Scatter crown symbol - Pays 250xs for 5 symbols anywhere on the reels

Purple Dragon gemstone - Pays 10xs for 5 on a payline

Red Minotaurus gemstone - Pays 0.7xs for 5 on a payline

Blue Griffin gemstone - Pays 0.6xs for 5 on a payline

Green Snake gemstone - Pays 0.5xs for 5 on a payline

Card suit symbols - Pay between 0.4xs and 0.3xs for 5 on a payline

Kingmaker bonus features

The main action is within the base game because here, it’s all about the Gemstones. The more gemstones you manage to collect, the higher the Gem Multiplier.

Free spins in Kingmaker

To trigger the free spins, you need to simultaneously land on 3, 4 or 5 crown scatters. The first win comes in batches of 4, 20 or 250xs stake and the second one with 7, 12 or 20 free spins. At this point, all the collected Gems are combined.

One of the most unique features here is the multiplier and I found it unusual to get angry every time I triggered the free spins too soon. This is a rare type of slot and the only scary moment I had was the risk of spending my bankroll before I could trigger the free spins. You need to be very careful when playing this volatile slot. However, it’s an enjoyable game and I loved the colour combination and the simple playing interface.
