Long Pao Slot (NetEnt)

Long Pao SlotLately, NetEnt has shown a lot of interest in Asian-themed slot games, and one such development is Long Pao. The slot game relies on the emperors of China, and it draws a lot of its inspiration from legends of the country.

Long Pao is not an entirely original game since it’s a clone of a previous release known as Jack Hammer.

It uses the usual 5-reel setup, and the slot also comes with a total of 25 active lines.  I must commend NetEnt for offering an excellent payout for this particular game that pays up to 3,000x the stake.

This can simply be translated to a cool $750,000, in just a single spin.

For the features, I have noticed that NetEnt uses the usual scatters, wilds, free spins, Sticky Win Respins, and multipliers that can go up to 3x.

Betting and Prizes

This is one of those areas that I make the first stop at any time I’m dealing with a new slot game.

For Long Pao, NetEnt allows wagers of between $0.25and $250 per spin.

The free spins are where you are most likely going to get the biggest rewards. This is because you can get the assistance of both Sticky Win Respins and a 3x multiplier.

After tackling this slot game, I can say that it has medium volatility, and so the RTP of 96.96% works just fine.

Long Pao Slot Features

For the slot’s wild symbol, NetEnt has used some Chinese writing which works pretty well considering that this is a Chinese inspired logo.

You are allowed to us the wild symbols as substitutes, and most probably, you will find them on the last four reels. However, the wilds do not help much when used on their own, and you cannot expect any winning from them.

Although most of the features found here are the typical ones that are common on most modern slots, there is one particular feature that I found to be unique and this is the Sticky Win Respin.

To trigger this feature, you will need at least 3 scatter symbols or some sort of a winning combination.

Additionally, the free spins will require not less than 5 visible scatters to trigger. Since you will get more than one scatter per each available reel, there is a possibility to get up to 30 free spins. However, such a number will require at least, 9 symbols to trigger.

The multiplier also comes in handy, and it can triple the winnings that come as a result of the free wins with a 3x multiplier.

Theme & Design

Long Pao draws its inspiration from the imperial family.  To prove this, NetEnt uses a lot of Anime-style characters on the slot’s reels. You will meet up with emperors and empresses alongside their offspring.

Additional symbols include swords, warriors, several logos and some Royals.

The design of this slot is quite impressive, and this could be as a result of the many characters that NetEnt has used on the slot.  At least the developer has kept away from the usual Chinese symbols that are a common feature on Asian-themed slot games.

Long Pao is fun to play, and to enjoy this game; you do not have to be from the Asian region.  The game has good RTP, excellent payouts and a well-crafted Chinese theme.

I would recommend the slot game to players of all levels.
