Magic of Sahara Slot (my personal experience)
Given the latest trends where slot developers are concentrating more on building themed-slots, the Magic of Sahara slot is focused on the Sahara desert. This new release from Microgaming pays lots of attention on desert life particularly on Tuareg tribes that are the main inhabitants of the place. The other common graphics in this new slot are the old trading caravans that were used by the traders across the Sahara desert.
Magic of Sahara is a relatively easy game that is set on 5 reel spins in addition to a total of 9 active lines. If utilized properly, all these can help you make quick and frequent wins. Microgaming is known to offer good bonuses and rewards and as I found out, it is possible to earn as much as $108,000 with the many features that are on this slot. These features include free spins, wilds, collected tokens, multipliers, and scatters. The slot’s RTP currently stands at 95.29%.
Magic of Sahara Prizes
As an experienced gamer, my first stop every time I want to try out a new slot game is to check the prices offered for the game in question. With this slot, I found out that the wager ranges between $0.09 and $45. Given that Magic of Sahara has 9 active lines, I was able to count the bet value at between $0.01 and $5.
This game has good potential with very good prices available. For example, I tried out the slot’s demo and I was able to collect a total of 1,200 coins for each line; however, I was required to have all the five symbols I have mentioned above to enjoy this.
Magic of Sahara has a jackpot of $6,000 which I available on every line of the slot. Although I was never lucky to hit this slot’s jackpot, its potential can go as high as $108,000 when using free spins (2x multipliers apply).
Volatility and RTP
During my time with Magic of Sahara, I experienced medium volatility and this means I was able to earn some decent amount which was paid out regularly. I have come across many slot games that pay more often, or in some cases more money, however, this slot hovers around the middle which makes it a good compromise.
What I was not very impressed with is the game’s Return to Player which is at 95.29%. A lot of newer slots that I have come across offer an RTP of about 96% or higher and I hope Microgaming may consider revising this.
Magic of Sahara Slot Features
If you are a seasoned gamer, you have known that the most important feature on any slot game is the wild symbol. With Magic of Sahara, the wild symbol appears in two versions: the regular and the super-stacked. However, this should not confuse you as it is the same symbol which can bring you wins of up to 1,200 coins ($6,000).
I realized that the super-stacked symbols on Magic of Sahara are available on the 3rd and 4th reels within the base of the game. However, they appeared on all five reels the moment I got to those free spins.
I love experimenting and I was able to activate the free spins in two ways. One was through collecting special tokens that are offered by the Tuareg Trader symbols prior to becoming Royals. The second way was through special scatters (like in the bowl that is filled with pricey stones and gold); however, this was only possible if they landed 3 to 5 times in the same round. Magic of Sahara gave me 3xs to 100xs the total stake I used. Additionally, I also received 25 free spins where my wins were multiplied by 2xs.
Magic of Sahara Theme & Design
Based on their desert-themed design, Microgaming offers decent-looking graphics for this particular slot. There is a mix of both appropriate and less appropriate symbols. I particularly loved the images of Tuareg men and women, the camel caravans plus the precious stones all set up in the desert background. However, I did not see the purpose of the royals who appear in sand-like colours.
I believe that you will learn a thing or two from my review before you can get to test this slot. I do not have a lot to complain about but Microgaming would do better with this slot if they raised their RTP to nothing less than 96%.
