Miss Wildfire Slot (ELK Studios)
Elk Studios is the brains behind this title that relies heavily on alchemist Edgar Woodard. If history fails you, this is a man who spent a considerable part of his life creating gold, only for him to complain of the wasted decades.
While staring at the fire, he has deep reflections about his life, and in the process invents a friend that he names, Miss Wildfire.
It’s a very interesting slot that attracted me to dig deeper, and after playing the slot for several days, below is my unbiased review:
ELK has used 466 ways on the available 6x4 grid. I love its unique setup and among the present symbols are Free spins, Sticky Wilds, Collect Symbols, Retrigger, Expanding Wilds, Respins, Sticky Symbols, Walking Wilds, and Symbol Upgrade among others.
Betting and Prizes
The betting range is nothing out of the ordinary, and I was able to get started at only $0.20.
I love the fact that ELK has considered high rollers since the highest amount that the slot allows per spin is $100. With the help of some of its features, the slot can pay a maximum of 5000xs the stake.
Miss Wildfire has an RTP of 96.1%, which works perfectly for its medium volatility.
Miss Wildfire Features
Majority of the features revolve around the wild, but I also enjoyed the free spins.
The wild (W) works by spreading fire both vertically and horizontally whenever it lands.
If there are logs along its path, they will be turned into flaming wilds.
Miss Wildfire is another version of a wild symbol. This feature also works by spreading fire to the nearby logs.
Also, the icon offers respins, and with each re-spin, it will push one reel to the left. This will go on until Miss Wildfire gets out of the grid.
Super Miss Wildfire does all the work that I have mentioned above. However, non-flaming logs remain in their sticky positions during respins.
During this feature, I also noticed that the Bonus (scatter) remain sticky as well.
Free Spins are present and to trigger them, you need to land 3+ scatters anywhere on the slot’s reels. If done successfully, the slot will reward you with 1, 2, 3, or 4 Miss Wildfire symbols. This depends on the of scatters landed, which could be 3, 4, 5, or 6.
Theme and Design
Elk Studios has put in a lot of effort to achieve a Woodard’s laboratory, but honestly speaking I don’t really feel it.
I’m also not amused by the design and the use of oversize symbols that overshadow the transparent reels.
Low-paying symbols are the usual royals (A-10), while those that offer premium rates include a flower, red gem, blue prism, and a cube.
Elk Studios is one of the most intellectual developers in this industry. A majority of their slots are unique, especially in terms of the theme.
I love the unique theme that has gone into Miss Fortune, but they would have performed better with a simple to the eye design of the symbols.
However, if you want something fresh, then Miss Fortune is the real deal. I can recommend it to players of all levels.
