Monster Blox Gigablox (Yggdrasil)
Monster Blox is a collaboration of two developers, Yggdrasil and Peter & Sons. It is a new addition to the popular Gigablox engine, with a lot to offer in terms of features and top prizes.
Monster Blox is very attractive to many gamers given the many goodies it has to offer. After trying it out for real money spins, here is my full review:
The game is set on a relatively larger game area of 6x4 reels, delivered in Monster Blox. There are 40 active lines present.
The slot contains Giga symbols as part of the features, in addition to other common things like scatters, and free spins and increasing multipliers.
Betting and Prizes
I was happy to pick the bet value for the next round from the provided betting range of between $0.20 and $100 per spin.
As a Yggrasil slot machine, you can expect generous payouts, and this is actually the case since the top jackpot possible is around 7,485x the stake.
It is not unusual for slots with such high potential to have very high volatility, and despite this being the case with Monster Blox, it offers a decent RTP of 96.10%.
Monster Blox Slot Features
It is a slot that offers a lot of creativity, and one of its major concepts is the use of a system that allows players to work with huge symbols.
The Gigablox mechanic is a very interesting concept that works by randomly picking multiple reels on each spin, and adds Giga symbols to it. Just as the name suggests, these symbols are bigger, and can be used as multiple symbols of the same variant, but again, this depends on the number of positions they occupy.
Initially, I formed winning combinations on the 40 active lines, but as I got deeper into it, I noticed an increase in the game area, where an extra row was added.
This results in additional active lines and you may end up with between 55 and 100 with an increase from 6x4 to 6x8 reels. If no more wins or respins happen, then the game will go back to its original size.
Access to free spins will be via the special scatters that come in their own logo. I needed at least 5 of them in view to trigger the free spins, and each one delivers 1 free round.
Along the way, I managed to collect more scatters that brought me more free spins, and eventually a boost of up to 10xs the multiplier.
Theme & Design
Monster Blox has borrowed part of its theme from the medieval style design, at least if the image of the wizard is anything to go by.
Monsters form part of the slot’s symbols, and these can also transform into Giga form provided they can cover multiple reels at the same time. Other symbols include the four card suits.
Monster Blox comes with the usual high-end features and design that we have come to appreciate from the two developers.
Overall, it is a slot with a lot of potentials, but the high volatility may only attract experienced gamblers.
