Pacific Gold Slot (ELK Studios)

This is the third slot machine from ELK Studios in 2022. The slot by the name Pacific Gold is expected to offer players a tropical design.

As an ELK Studios release, you can expect the very best in terms of features and payouts. This tropical-inspired slot does not disappoint, and I will share my experience with the game in the review below:

Game Set-Up

Pacific Gold is set on a whopping 6 reels with up to 262,144 pay lines/ways to win. It’s a slot that is packed with some of the best features that include Avalanches (come with the reel expansion system), wilds, mega symbols, free spins, Power Stacks, as well as some modifiers.

Betting and Prizes

Once again, ELK Studios is treating us to very generous gameplay, and to play for real money, I needed at least $0.20 on each spin.

If you are a high roller who loves taking the bigger risk, the slot will allow you to place bets of up to $100.

ELK Studios is popular for offering some of the best payments on slots, and Pacific Gold seems to walk in the same shoes.

The slot can pay as much as $1,000,000 (10,000x the stake) from just a single spin. However, this huge payout comes at a risk as the slot is very brutal in volatility. The RTP of 95% may offer little help.

Pacific Gold Slot Features

Pacific Gold has an Avalanche mechanism that is triggered by a win. As usual, this removes the winning icons and replaces them with new ones. Additionally, the Avalanche increases the game area by bringing in an extra row after each Avalanche.

This process can end up boosting the game area to 6x8 reels this way, with up to 262,144 ways to win.

Wilds will also come in to offer the substitute duty, and they are very helpful when you are forming winning combos.

There are also mega-sized symbols for both regular and wild features, and these can get up to 4x4 in size.

You will notice that the Power Stacks appear like regular symbols, but they have numbers on them. Initially, you will get 4, but these will increase by 2 with every new Avalanche that they encounter, but one that is not part of a win.

The main feature in Pacific Gold is probably Pacific Wave Free Spins. I’m always excited by free spins, and I was happy to trigger a couple of them on this slot.

With 3-6 Plane scatters landing on the reels, you get to activate 10-25 free drops.

Theme & Design

Pacific Gold offers an adventurer’s story that takes us to the Pacific Ocean. You can see some remnants of ancient civilizations, plus a few downed aeroplanes laying in the region’s islands. Kane is at work to find them.

The game has several symbols and they include low pay Royals, several Tiki-style idols, plus a few more drawings. There is Kane and the Plane Bonus as well.

Conclusion

Pacific Gold is a great addition to the Gold series that ELK Studios has become synonymous with.  The only major difference is that with this new release, we are getting a much lower RTP than what was offered by the previous Gold releases.
