Papaya Pop Slot (Yggdrasil)
AvatarUX has once again partnered with Yggdrasil, and this time around, we are seeing a continuation of their Pop Wins series.
Papaya Pop is the title of this new slot that borrow from the tropical fruits. However, to keep it more interesting, the developer has incorporated a modern design that is inspired by Art Deco retro.
Here is my journey playing Papaya Pop for real money.
Papaya Pop slot is not all that complex, and the developer has used the common 5x3 reels design. It is possible to expand the columns to get as many as 118,098 ways to win. The slot pays both ways.
The PopWins is the mechanic that has gone into this title, other features include the free spins, increasing multipliers, retrigger, and the Gamble feature among others.
Betting and Prizes
Papaya Pop is very flexible when it comes to wagers and I was allowed the opportunity to pick any bet between $0.20, and $100 per spin.
I’m very impressed with this slot’ potential, given that the highest possible payout from just one bet is 10,542x the stake. This means that on a good day, and when using the highest bet amount, you can walk away with a cool $1 million.
The slot offers an average RTP of 96%, but it is also high in volatility.
Papaya Pop Features
The main mechanic here is the PopWins, and it works perfectly for expanding the reels. To activate its use, I was required to form a winning combo.
Once that was done, the reel in question went on to expand after which the involved symbols are removed. New ones come in their place.
While using the paid spins, I got up to 6-symbols high reels, however, with the free spins, I realised that there is potential for more.
If you work a little harder and get the reels to fully extend throughout the regular spins (5 columns get 6 symbols), the free spins will be triggered.
The free spins gave me 3 lives to go through, each spin will use one if there is no win. However, whenever I got a win, the winning spin reset back to 3 lives.
On getting 3 consecutive losing spins, the feature came to an end. All wins get a 2x multiplier, but this also increases by 1x after going through each round.
While in the new mode, I got bigger reels, and these expanded with up to 9 symbols. This is how I ended up with 118,098 ways to win.
Theme & Design
Papaya Pops has blended both the modern design and the Art Deco style. Symbols include Royals (9-A), tropical fruits (mango, papaya, pineapple, figs, dragon fruit, durian, horned melon, and star fruit).
I love the look, plus the quality graphics.
Papaya Pop is a great addition to the Pop Wins series. It is a great slot machine that offers great features, excellent potential, and a decent RTP.
Given its high volatility though, I can only recommend this title to gamers with a lot of experience.
