Pyramid Pays Slot (iSoftBet)
Having played slot machines from a developer like iSoftBet, my expectation of any slot that they release into the market is always high.
Their latest is Pyramid Pays, a slot machine that offers the all-too-common Ancient Egyptian pyramids for the design and features.
I was still interested in digging more about this title, and so I put some money and played a couple of spins as a real money gamer, and here is my review:
Pyramid Pays has used the usual 5x3 reels, and the developer has given it 243 ways to win.
It has a good mix of features that include wilds with multipliers, free spins, scatters, as well as a Pyramid Pays bonus.
Betting and Prizes
I was able to place bets of as little as 30 coins, and from what I gathered, Pyramid Pays allows bets of between $0.30 and $30 per spin.
When it comes to the potential, the slot offers a maximum win of 3840xs the stake, while the RTP is at an average of 96%.
If you plan to play this title for real money, please bear in mind that it is a very volatile game, which means it comes with significant risk.
Pyramid Pays Features
Pyramid Pays has a multiplier wild as part of the main features. This feature comes in the image of Cleopatra, and I love it due to its ability to boost wins that it is part of.
However, one thing that I noticed about it is the fact that it only appears on the middle three reels.
Then there is the scatter that takes the form of a Pyramid, and this feature only lands on three reels (1, 3, and 5) out of the 5 that are there. Whenever I managed to land all the 3 at the same time, the slot rewarded me with 15 free spins.
Additionally, an extra three scatters showing up once again will bring an extra 1 free spin. However, this can also trigger another of the slot’s features known as Pyramid Pays.
Occasionally you will get to land a Booster scatter on the 5th reel, which will double the value of the instant prizes.
Pyramid Pays are easily recognisable since they come as a pyramid-shaped area, and on it are 9 prizes of between 2x and 100x the stake (this may get to 200x when the Booster scatter comes in).
Theme & Design
As I have mentioned, the slot’s symbols borrow their inspiration from Ancient Egypt, which makes it quite similar to many other slots.
I don’t really love the design quality, especially when you look at the symbols that are not very attractive.
The low-value icons come as Royals (9 to A), while for the premium symbols, we have icons of Bastet, Ankh, Pharaoh, Eye of Horus, and Scarab. The feature symbols will be represented by a Pyramid (scatter) and Cleopatra (wild).
Pyramid Pays is an average slot machine in all ways, and this includes its potential, RTP, and features as well.
It is a good slot for all levels of players, but the high volatility makes it more suitable for experienced gamers.
