Riddle of the Sphinx Slot (Red Tiger)
Riddle of the Sphinx is a 2021 slot machine that was developed by none other than Red Tiger. It’s an interesting slot that is not too heavy on classical myths, neither is it too much into the Greek either.
Red Tiger has tried to dwell more on the ancient civilisation, and specifically the Egyptians.
The Ancient desert lands are one of the favourite hunting grounds for many slot developers, and this is where Red Tiger has borrowed inspiration from.
If this is your area of interest, then you will most definitely enjoy Riddle of the Sphinx. Here is my full review of this awesome slot game:
Riddle of the Sphinx has gone with a rather common design, and by this, I mean 5-reels and 20-pay lines.
For the features, you will be happy to work with Multiplier Wilds, Free spins bonus, and Expanding Wilds among others.
Betting and Prizes
Using my mobile phone, I was able to place bets on this slot, and I have no regrets playing for real money.
Bets start from a low of $0.10 per spin, and the maximum that can go into each spin is $10. This amount is not very attractive to high rollers and especially given that the slot is high in volatility.
The maximum win possible is 8,000xs the stake, and the below-average RTP of 95.66% doesn’t help things either.
Riddle of the Sphinx Features
Despite the poor payout potential, Red Tiger has given the slot great features, and one such feature is the1x2 sized Pharaoh symbol ta serves as the wild.
Each time this feature lands, it goes on to transform the adjacent symbols into wilds. This is also known as the Dynasty wild feature, and it is present in all phases of the slot. However, I noticed that it appeared more frequently during free spins.
Scatters are always a favourite part of any slot, and upon landing 3 on this slot, I managed to trigger the Pharaoh free spins. For this to happen, you must land these scatters on reels 1, 3, and 5.
Depending on the type of free spins that you pick, at the beginning of a spin, you can receive 6, 12, or 24 free spins with multipliers of 8x, 4x, or 2x.
Theme and Design
Red Tiger is not very keen on developing slot titles that are inspired by the Egyptian theme.
Their list of such slots is not very impressive, and their only popular game that relies on this theme is the Vault of Anubis.
Riddle of the Sphinx has used the Egyptian theme, and it is a fun game to play. For the symbols, I came across 10-A card icons(low-value), ankhs, sand, scarabs, hand-fans, and eyes.
Riddle of the Sphinx offers simple and straightforward gameplay. I love how Dynasty wilds come in to spice things up, and this interesting feature keeps you yearning for more.
However, as a real money gamer, there is little to enjoy here, especially if you are looking to make some profits.
The low payout potential of this slot makes it suitable only for casual gamers.
