Rising Treasures Slot (Novomatic)
Hunting for treasure in South America is not a new thing in the gaming world. We get to witness it one more time with this new development by Novomatic.
Since this is one of my most favourite themes, I took some time to try out Rising Treasures and here is my review:
Game Set-Up
Rising Treasures comes with average looks but what it lacks in looks it compensates with the features.
The slot is built on 5x3 reels and up to 20 pay lines. Individual lines can award wins of up to 500x the stake.
Rising Treasures is a medium-high volatility slot game. Feature-wise, I was able to come across the expanding wilds, upgraded reels as well as some free spins.
Betting and Prizes
To place a wager, you will need at least $0.20 per spin while the maximum amount allowed per spin is $100.
This is an ideal figure for players of all level including high rollers. However, the slot disappointed me with its low RTP of 95.02%.
Rising Treasures Slot Features
Rising Treasures has some very interesting features.
The expanding wilds are particularly interesting, and it is beautiful to watch them take over the reel that they have landed on.
However, expect these wilds to appear in a limited area which is the middle three columns.
Scatters are present as well, and they appear in the form of a Temple. With them, you can get up to 12 free spins but for this to happen, you will need to land them on 3+ positions.
Theme & Design
Rising Treasures has an interesting archaeology/treasure hunting theme. This is a little unusual from what many gamers are used to, but I think it was a deliberate move by Novomatic to create a unique storyline, to break the monotony of this all too common theme.
Although the concept is not entirely new/ original Novomatic has tried to add a few unique items like a jungle-based location and some ancient treasures and temples.
This is the part that made me enjoy this slot. Unfortunately, the graphics are quite outdated, and if you enjoy games with flashy graphics, then this slot will not fit the bill.
The wild is among the symbols that you will find here, in addition to the Temple scatter. The slot has some regular symbols too, and these include a vase, chalice, treasure chests, an adventurer, medallions, horns as well as some low-value symbols that are represented by the Royals.
Conclusion
Rising Treasures has both the good and the bad side. For example, the medium to high volatility of this slot game makes it a thrilling game for high rollers. The 500x payout per line is also quite fair.
On the bad side, the RTP is way below what we see on most modern slots, and Novomatic may need to revise this: considering that the game has some high volatility, meaning it has some significant risk.
