Rocky’s Gold Slot (Relax Gaming)
Lately, the mining theme has taken the gaming industry by storm, and more and more slots with this theme are being released into the market.
One such video slot is Rocky’s Gold, a game that was developed by Relax Gaming. I had a wonderful time playing this game and here is my review:
Rocky's Gold is designed on a 5x3 grid with up to 20 fixed pay lines. The slot offers several features that include Free spins bonus game, Wilds, Random Wilds, Stacked Pick Bonus, Wild Reels, and Stacked Symbols among others.
Betting and Prizes
Stakes start from a low of $0.20 per spin while the highest that you can get is $100 per round.
I love the slot’s RTP that sits at 96.54%, however, be careful with its high volatility.
Rocky’s Gold Features
Feature-wise, Relax Gaming has used a number, and one such is the TNT Bonus. This one consists of two symbols which are a box of dynamite, and a detonator. The feature will appear on the 3rd and 4th reels.
Then there is the Pay Dirt Bonus whose activity revolves around the scatter (Pick Me). This is what you get from it:
2 scatter symbols – these will trigger the Pick Me Bonus, and you get the opportunity to pick one of these symbols to reveal either some cash prizes or in other cases, up to 5 free spins.
3 scatter symbols – triggers the Pay Dirt Bonus with up to 10 free spins.
4 scatter symbols – triggers the Pay Dirt Bonus with up to 15 free spins.
5 scatter symbols - triggers the Pay Dirt Bonus with up to 20 free spins.
While in the Pay Dirt Bonus mode, chances are that you will get a reel modifier on each spin.
If you had to sum up this game in one word, it would be clunky. The animations have an awkward quality to them, and a slow pace to match.
Theme and Design
Relax Gaming is a top game developer but they don’t seem to have put a lot of thought into Rocky Gold slot.
I find the slot to be a little awkward, and especially the weird design that has been used on the animations.
The royals represent the low-value, and they are followed by other symbols like blue, red crystal shards, and green.
Rocky’s Gold looks promising in the beginning, and especially when the screen opens to a nice scrolling effect.
However, as the game settles in, all is not impressive and Relax Gaming would have done much better with this title.
The game has not been well executed, and I must confess that this slot is not what it purports to be, and I find it more suitable for casual players.
