Skulls Heap Slot (Microgaming)
Gong Gaming Technologies, in partnership with Microgaming, have developed a slot, titled, Skulls Heap.
In a span of just a few weeks, the developer has released several titles, and this is one of them.
Skulls Heap borrows its inspiration from the Mexican Day of Dead.
It is an interesting title that I have played severally since its release, and below is my review:
Skulls Heap comes with a unique reel design, and you get 6x4 with up to 4096 ways to win.
Among its symbols are regular and multiplier wilds, free spins, as well as scatters.
Betting and Prizes
The developer has considered all level of players when it comes to wagers, and you can use any amount between $0.4 and $80 to place a bet.
For the highest payout, Skulls Heap can pay up to 3000x the stake.
This is a highly volatile slot, but it also offers a fair RTP of 96.04%.
Skulls Heap Slot Features
The wild feature is one of the most common features of this title. With its help, you can form winning combos, by ensuring that it appears in the right reel.
To form a useful combo, you need 3+ symbols that should land on as many reels as possible, left to right.
The other common feature is the free spins that you can trigger with the help of scatters.
The scatters come with a Free Spins logo, and with at least 3 such symbols, you will be able to trigger the free spins.
At this point, the slot will reward you with a 2x wild multiplier, and this goes a long way in doubling your wins.
Theme & Design
For this title, Microgaming has borrowed inspiration from Mexico, especially one of its populous holidays that is purely dedicated to the dead.
I love the elaborate design that Skulls Heap has, not to forget its well-crafted symbols.
These symbols include Skulls, candles (with flowers), tequila bottle, cactus plant, some Royals (9 and A), as well as feature triggers that include wild Heart and free spins scatter symbols.
In the recent past, Microgaming has partnered with several designers to create breath-taking slot machines.
Skulls Heap is one such title, but it lacks good features, and its high volatility does not help either.
However, due to the low payout potential, and lack of intense action, I can only recommend Skulls Heap to casual players.
