Solar Wilds Slot (Microgaming)

Solar Wilds Slot (Microgaming)All41 Studios, in partnership with Microgaming, has created an interesting slot machine known as Solar Wilds.

The game borrows the Starburst-style features, and a lot of other things that the developer has included brings back the memories of that popular slot game.

I will share my review of Solar Wilds below:

Game Set-Up

Solar Wilds uses the common 5x3 reels design and just 10 paylines. For the features, Microgaming has gone with respins, and expanding wilds.

Betting and Prizes

Wagers for a single spin range at between $0.10 and $100. This means that you need between $0.01 and $10 per each of the available lines.

I’m happy to report that the game has great potential when it comes to payouts, and you can get as much as 1,000x the stake ($100,000) per spin.

It’s a straightforward slot machine that offers medium volatility, and its RTP of 96.27% is fair enough to handle this level of variance.

Solar Wilds Slot Features

Solar Wilds doesn’t have a lot of features, and the developer has used the same that we find on NetEnt’s popular slot, Starburst.

Wild logos are present, and I noticed that they expand in the middle three reels. Since they are substitutes, you can use them to form new combinations.

The only major symbol that Microgaming has given Solar Wilds relies on the expanding wild.

In addition to expanding on the reel, the wild will also activate a respin, and this way, it will get into a locked position.

If the respin gives you a second expanding wild, it will also get into a locked position, triggering an additional respin.

You can have this happen as many as three times, up to when all the three reels in the middle are covered by wilds. This way, you stand better chances of landing considerable wins.

Although Solar Wilds lacks features, the few that are available have massive potential.

Theme & Design

Solar Wilds borrows its inspiration from the Solar System’s image. You will notice a lot of different planets have been used as the major symbols.

These may not look realistic, but the developer has tried to give them a good design, with each having a different ring and unique layout.

A beautiful image of space lies strategically in the background, and in the distance are some sparkling stars.

Solar Wilds is a fun game to play, and you will love it more if you enjoy the Starburst-style.

Although it is not an entirely original concept, Microgaming has used some creativity to create an interesting slot game.

I love the good potential, not to forget the decent RTP that is great at managing the slot’s medium volatility.
