Tale of Kyubiko Slot (Play n Go)

Tale of Kyubiko Slot (Play n Go)Play n Go does not seem to run out of ideas, and the developer is regularly releasing new slot titles to the market. Their latest is The Tale of Kyubiko, a slot that follows the Japanese deity story known as, Inari.

This is a spirit or god commonly mentioned by the Shinto religion and adored for its ability to grant prosperity, in addition to offering protection to foxes, blacksmiths, and agriculture.

It's obvious that there is a fox connection here, and this is evident in the design., as well as in the main character, where a hybrid human/fox girl is present.

Below is my review of Tale of Kyubiko slot machine:

Game Set-Up

One of the things that really surprised me about this slot is the small game design since the developer has gone with a 3x3 reels grid, and only 5 pay lines.

It doesn’t have very many features, but among those present are regular and stacked wilds, and respins that can give multipliers of up to 25xs.

Betting and Prizes

The betting options start from a low of $0.10 to a high of $100 per real money round.

2,250x the stake is what you can expect as the top prize here, and this means that, on a good day, you can hit wins of up to $225,000 in cash if using the maximum betting price.

Play n GO allows online casinos to offer different RTP levels, and the best that you can get is 96.29%. The slot is medium in volatility and this makes it less risky to play.

Tale of Kyubiko Slot Features

Inari is a goddess that brings fortune in the Japanese pantheon, and it is what Play n Go has used as the star of this slot game.

It serves as the wild feature and can deliver lots of smaller wins by landing either in regular or stacked form (possibly helping out on all lines). Also, the wild can form its own wins, paying up to 10x the stake whenever it covers a line.

The stacked wild also allows you access to the main feature that involves respins. All you need is to have a stacked wild as part of a winning combo. This can be nudged to completely cover the reel, and especially if it hasn’t landed fully visible.

At that point, you get to trigger the Respins, and the wild will randomly change reels. With an additional win formed I was happy to trigger a multiplier of up to 25x that was applied to wins.

Theme & Design

The Tale of Kyubiko draws its inspiration from the Shinto religion, as well as Japan’s culture.

Inari is a spirit/goddess highly regarded for its ability to offer protection to foxes, among other things.

Other major symbols that Play n Go has considered include masks and frogs. On the lower paytable, we have images of paper lanterns that have the card suits painted on their side.

Conclusion

Overall, Tale of Kyubiko is a beautifully designed slot, just what you would expect from Play n Go.

It’s a highly enjoyable slot machine that offers a couple of powerful features which are quite rare on 3-reel titles.

I had lots of fun playing this title and I can recommend it to all levels of gamers.
