Timelines (Microgaming)

Timeless is an online slot that was developed by Northern lights Gaming for Microgaming casinos. Timelines rely on a time repeat mechanic, the same concept that we got to enjoy in a recent slot known as 9 Masks of Fire.

I had an opportunity to try out the new slot for real money, and below is my unbiased review:

Game Set-Up

Timelines' action will be taking place on its 5x3 reels grid, which also hosts 243 pay lines/ways to win.

For the features, the slot has a lot to offer, and these include Free spins bonus, Cash Prize, Increasing Multipliers, Multiplier Symbols, and Transferring Symbols among others.

Betting and Prizes

From my experience playing Timelines for real money, I can say that it is a medium volatility game.

To play for real money, I only needed a minimum of  $0.10 on each spin that I made. The MAX amount that the slot allows per spin is $25.

To give players different options, the developer has offered up to four versions of the RTP. The highest will go for 96.17%, while the least that you can work with is 86.81%.

When it comes to payouts, Timeless can pay up to 9500xs the stake from a single bet, which is excellent for a slot that is medium in volatility.

Timelines Slot Features

The slot is rich in features, and one of them is the Timelines Bonus. There are up to five mini reels above the slot’s main grid, and each time a clock face Timeline icon lands, it goes on to pull out as many as 15 symbols from those stored in the mini reels.

They include things like regular pay symbols or some Epic Strike symbols. However, you are not guaranteed any win.

Then there is the Epic Strike feature, and landing 3+ Diamond symbols will reward you with a prize from this Epic Strike feature. Precisely, you will need 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 Diamonds visible on the reels to claim prizes of between 1x and 4,000x the stake, respectively.

Free Spins are the other goodies that you will get to sample on Timelines. To activate them, you will need 3 Wormhole Symbols landing on the reels. This will reward you with up to 10 free spins. While in the free spins mode, both the Timeline and Multiplier symbols will get a major boost on the reels.

Theme and Design

The game area is quite active but with some sort of blurry images that are moving through a time wormhole image. This idea perfectly suits the theme of the slot, but I feel like the whole visual impact is a little mismatched.

The present symbols include four low-pay gems, plus a couple of higher-paying futuristic-type of objects. I’m surprised that Timelines don’t come with wilds, but the multiplier symbols applied to the ways wins offer the much-needed help.

Conclusion

I’m not very impressed by how Timelines is designed, especially the fuzzy background with flimsy-looking grids.

However, it is an excellent slot for real money players, and the fact that it offers high payouts with medium volatility makes it ideal for all levels of players.
