Toro 7s Slot (ELK)

Toro 7s is the latest addition to the Toro series (4^th title in this series), a good indicator that ELK Studios is committed to expanding this category.

The slot is more of a classic themed idea, but with high volatility. I’m impressed by the features inside, and the decent payout that the developer has given it.

Here is my unbiased review of Toro 7s:

Game Set-Up

Toro 7s uses the typical 3x3 reels grid that is common on classic themed slots. On it are 17 connecting lines, and great features that include Free spin with multipliers, regular and multiplier wilds, Lucky Sevens Bonus, and the Nudging Respins.

Betting and Prizes

ELK tends to give a majority of its slots a specific betting range, and here, we see the same trend.

I was interested in placing real money bets and was allowed to use between $0.20 and $100 on each spin.

Toro 7s does quite well when it comes to payouts, a spin can reward you with wins of 10,000x the stake, or $1,000,000 richer!

However, be on the lookout as the title is also very high in volatility, and the low long-term RTP of 95% is not very helpful.

Toro 7s Slot Features

A majority of modern slots have a wild symbol as part of the features, and the Matador serves as the wild on this title. As the regular wild, it helps trigger the Nudging Respins.

The feature will move towards the bottom part of the game, one spot at a time, and this will continue until when it completely leaves the reel. Before that happens, you will keep getting respins.

Toro is the other symbol, and it is what serves as a multiplier wild. It relies on the same Nuding Respin concept, and I love its ability to boost wins by up to 5xs, whenever it is part of its formation.

If you are lucky to get two versions of wilds on the reels at the same time, Toro will be locked in its present position, while waiting for the Matador to make his exit.

I'm always excited to try out some free spins, and on Toro 7s, the feature is present. To trigger them I needed to land 3 Toro 7s scatters on the slot’s reels, and all wins can pay 5x the normal amount.

Since the free spins are in use, the slot will offer you an additional set of 3 scatters that you can land. In return, you gain access to a feature known as Lucky Sevens.

Theme & Design

ELK seems to have borrowed the inspiration for Toro 7s from both its classics and modern concepts. This is particularly true given the features found inside (Matador and Toro), as we have already seen them on earlier titles by this developer.

Other symbols include Plum, Sevens, oranges, cherries, and Bar logos.

Conclusion

Toro 7s is a lot of fun to play, and ELK Studios did quite good by turning this classic 3-reel arrangement into an interesting modern slot.

The only problem is the combination of high volatility with a low RTP of 95%, which makes it a slot suitable for casual gamers.
