Toshi Video Club (Hacksaw Gaming)
I had an opportunity to take a virtual tour of the Land of the Rising Sun, and here is my experience playing Toshi Video Club for real money:
Hacksaw has given the title a large game area of 5x5 but with only 15 pay lines. On the list of features, I noticed that it contains things like a Buy Feature, Cascading Reels, and an Increasing Multiplier.
Betting and Prizes
Toshi Video Club is part of Hacksaw’s Pocketz series, and to place a wager on it, I needed to use at least $0.20 per spin. If your budget allows, wagers of up to $100 per spin are possible.
It’s a slot with good potential, with the maximum possible in hitting 10000xs the stake. However, I also noticed that it is very high in volatility.
Hacksaw Gaming has given the game two types of RTP, with one being the default (96.17%), while the other via the buying the feature (96.24%).
Toshi Video Club Features
Gorilla wilds are the most obvious features, and as usual, they work by substituting other regular icons. Wilds can also form a win of up to 40x the stake, but only if you get five of them across a pay line.
In Toshi Video Club, my favourite feature is the multipliers because they carry all the potential for large wins, and especially during the free spin mode.
The cascades are the other feature on Toshi Video Club and I love how they work effortlessly by removing the winning symbols and replacing them with new ones.
Multipliers come via the special Daruma icons, and I noticed that there are four different versions. The 4 Darumas consist of:
Small Daruma – this one boosts the multiplier by +1, +2, and +5.
Medium Daruma –boosts the multiplier by +10, +15, and +20.
Big Daruma – boosts the multiplier by +25, +50, and +100.
Green Daruma – boosts the present total by x2, x3, x4, and x5.
3+ scatter symbols will be all you need to trigger the free spins, and this is how I landed 10 free rounds.
Theme and Design
I enjoyed the background music with its Asian influence, and the accompanying symbols are also wonderful.
These custom-made symbols offer a delightful Japanese feel, and for the low-value ones, we have grey-coloured noodle bowls, cats, people, bears, and whales.
The symbols have a dash of orange colour and they include videotapes, sushi, frogs, TVs, and old joysticks.
What I love most about Toshi Video Club is its simplicity, and the slot does not feel “heavy” even to the most novice gamer.
The features are great too, and especially the different variants of Darumas. Hacksaw Gaming has done pretty well with this title and I can recommend it to all levels of players.
