Water Blox Gigablox Slot (Yggdrasil)
Water Blox Gigablox is the latest slot that we are getting from Yggdrasil. The game comes with one of the most unusual and unique themes I have seen in a long time. The developer has incorporated a fish theme with some type of tribal cult, that is purely dedicated to the fish.
For this title, Yggdrasil has partnered with Peter & Sons, and together, they have managed to create a decent slot with very good features, and great graphics.
This is my review of Water Blox Gigablox:
6x6 reels are the grid that you will be working with on Water Blox Gigablox. There are up to 50 pay lines present that you can use to form combinations.
The Gigablox mechanic is one of the available features, and you will also get to work with a couple of others including respins, wilds, and free spins.
Betting and Prizes
To enjoy some real money spins on Water Blox Gigablox, I needed just $0.20 on every spin that I made. You can play for up to $50 per spin.
I’m very impressed with the top payouts that are offered by this slot, and on a good day, Water Blox Gigablox can pay up a jackpot of up to 10,000x, or $500,000 when using the highest stake allowed.
One of the downsides to these levels of pay-outs is high volatility, but it’s also good I mention that Yggdrasil has given the slot a fair RTP of 96.07%.
Water Blox Gigablox Slot Features
Gigablox is one of the special features of this slot. With its help, you will be able to sync up reels to get symbols between 2x2 to 6x6. Although these are still considered regular symbols, you may have them appear on multiple active lines, which will then trigger a lot of new wins.
A wild symbol comes in to help as a substitute, and with it, you can form smaller wins. Additionally, the wild can pay on its own (with a combo made of up to 6, the feature can pay just as much as you would get from the top symbol).
We also get the Wild Respins, and the most interesting part about this is that it will appear at any point. However, although the name may suggest that these are guaranteed, they actually don’t appear directly.
Instead, once triggered, it converts about 3 other symbols which will turn into walking wilds. Since this version of the wilds moves randomly, whenever they land on a Giga symbol, tit may be converted into a larger wild. Certainly, this will lead to more impressive wins.
Then comes my favourite feature which is the scatter. With 5+landing on the reels, I was able to trigger 5+ free spins. With the Wild symbols getting collected into a special meter, the multiplier’s value for the upcoming wins is boosted.
You can get up to 10x multipliers, but this will also require some work from you where you will be required to gather at least 125 wilds. With every multiplier increase, you get an extra 2 extra spins.
Additionally, there is also a guaranteed Wild Respin that comes with each free spin. Up to 3 walking wilds can be added each time.
Theme & Design
I find the theme of Water Blox Gigablox a little confusing, and from what I’m seeing, it’s like the developer borrowed the idea of a cult dedicated to fish. The priest/spiritualist character found on the reels makes it all clear.
The quality of the graphics is top-notch, and quite modern, with a design that you will definitely fall in love with.
Symbols include four well-crafted card suits, plus a couple of other premium ones that include a Free Spins bottle, Gold Fish Wilds, and other regulars like the octopus, frogs, pufferfish, and purple fish.
All in all, I’m a fan of the work that was done by Peter & Sons on this slot. The gorgeous graphics, excellent features, and big rewards make the slot suitable for all levels of players.
