A Giant Step
IGL is the leading supplier of digital games and materials to quite a number of operators in the South African iGaming industry. Recently, they joined forces with Yggdrasil, a premium publisher of online gaming material, a developer that started operations in 2013.
Many of Yggdrasil's business solutions, such as White Label Studios, YGS Masters, and Yggdrasil Dragons, are well recognized for their sustainable business strategy, and so are this developer’s Table Games, Slot Machines, and Bingo Games.
Intelligent Gaming Limited has been selected as a Franchisee by Yggdrasil. According to Andrew Pegler, Director of Commercial Operations. This is a big milestone for the company as they want to penetrate this large market opportunity.
Furthermore, he claims that IGL is “an ambitious, experienced, and well-connected supplier,” and he perceives “the huge potential of taking a Franchise in their key markets.”
South African Entrance
This creative franchise development strategy explains why Yggdrasil's premium iGaming content and latest technological infrastructure are now available to its operational partners in South Africa.
After full implementation, and approval processes, all African gamers interested in participating now have access to a portfolio of approximately 150 online games and industry-leading advertising tools.
Along with releasing Yggdrasil's award-winning online games over the last eight years, this deal will include a number of third-party titles and content from the YG Masters program. This includes expanding their business operations in Africa and positioning themselves as a "top online producer of gaming content."
This partnership will allow for the distribution of a large number of third-party games and materials from the YG Master’s program.
Supabets, a famous sports betting and casino platform will be the first IGL operator to provide Yggdrasil games in the African market.
Marc Plaxton-Harrison, co-founder and CEO of Intelligent Gaming, expressed his optimism about the agreement and noted that IGL is pleased to be a Yggdrasil Franchise partner in Africa, asserting they will play a key role in the market.
