A Few Weeks at EnergyCasino
Like you, I love the thrill of online gaming, so I am always on the lookout for the perfect casino. Of course, ‘perfect’ cannot exist, but EnergyCasino comes pretty damn close, as you will see as I share my own experience of playing there for a few weeks.
The first thing that hit me was, unsurprisingly, the ‘energy’ of the site! Yes, if you are looking for a casino with “winning energy”, then EnergyCasino is the place for you. With their black and yellow (or is it orange?) colours, dynamic graphical sliders, bold games selection, and tournaments/jackpots dashboard, you immediately know to expect a thrilling experience!
Personally, I made a beeline straight for the slots games, because in my book that is still the heart of any casino – and I was not disappointed! Offering games by some of the biggest, most popular operators like NetEnt, GreenTube (Novomatic), Wazdan, and Quickfire (Microgaming), as well as classic brands and new start-ups, including BF Games, Play’n Go, Merkur, Bally Wulff, Gamomat, and UC8. Not all operators are available in all countries though, so your choice will depend on where you live.
Even so, wherever you are, EnergyCasino offers such a varied range of games that you are never likely to get bored. Looking around, there were plenty of slick, feature-rich slots, like Archangels: Salvation™, Hotline™, Immortal Romance™, Jurassic World™, Guns N’ Roses Video Slots™, and Gonzo’s Quest™. I also found myself spinning on some of my favourite slots from land-based casinos, like Book of Ra™ Deluxe and Sizzling Hot™ Deluxe.
But, to be honest, the games I probably enjoyed the most, because I had never seen them anywhere before (and I seemed to have a lot of luck on them), were from a games studio called ‘BF Games’. They have a lot of games which are obviously influenced by big-name slots, with similar themes, like Book of Ming, Pagoda of Fortune, Stunning Hot, and Continent Africa, but also some superbly original games like Dark Carnivale, Mad Men and Nuclear War, and Pharaohs and Aliens.
There is a good mix of high and low variance slots, so EnergyCasino is an excellent destination for players with any risk threshold. And, I discovered that it is brilliant if you, like yours indeed, are hunting for that one huge, life-changing jackpot win, because they have very conveniently placed all the progressive jackpot slots on one page. I simply clicked ‘Jackpots’ and was offered 30 of the best progressive slots, including some with mega jackpots of over one million Euros! In fact, I was positively spoilt for choice, with games like Mega Fortune™, Hall of Gods™, Divine Fortune™, and Mega Moolah™.
Table Games and Live Casino
Though slots are the core of any casino, it was nice to be able to try my luck at a pretty good range of table games including Jacks or Better, Joker Wild, Red Dog, Extra Bingo, and a variety of roulette, baccarat, and blackjack – again, all very easily accessed, simply by clicking ‘Table & Poker’ on the menu.
But, the thing I was probably most impressed with was Energy’s Live Casino. Now, I must confess, I had heard that the live offering at EnergyCasino was pretty mediocre, with about ten or so tables from Extreme Live Gaming - but something had clearly changed! After a little digging, I found out that in 2017 EnergyCasino overhauled their Live Casino completely, by adding around 50 of the most sophisticated live roulette, baccarat, blackjack, and poker games from premium operator Evolution Gaming.
The result has been a total transformation. The production values of the Evolution tables are incredibly high, with beautiful sets, glamourous professional dealers, and an engaging choice of games, including some native language tables. The previous tables, from Extreme Live Gaming, are still available and offer some nice slot-branded tables – which all makes for an excellent variety of choice.
Okay, so I think EnergyCasino certainly offer a hell of an excellent choice for both slot and table game fans, but “what about their bonuses and rewards?” I hear you say! Well, they do not disappoint there either.
After signing-up (which was, incidentally, very quick and straightforward), I was able to take advantage of a €5 bonus without even making a deposit (note, to claim this no deposit bonus, you need to email [email protected], with the subject line “5 free”, and then you will get the bonus within 24 hours).
Obviously, €5 did not exactly set my pulse racing, but that was just the start. When I made my first deposit, I saw that I would get a 100% bonus up to a tidy €200! So, always being one to make the most of things, I went for it and went the full bonus. Guess what? When I went to reload, I was offered another 50% bonus up to €200! Okay, so on my reload I did not go for the full amount, but still got a pretty nice bonus – and if I had of gone for the max, I could have got a total of €400 in deposit bonuses – which compares very well to other casinos!
Hold your horses though. Yes, as I said before, EnergyCasino is not perfect. As to be expected, such generous Welcome Bonuses do come with strings attached. First up, the €5 no deposit bonus has a maximum withdrawal limit of €100, an eye-watering wagering requirement of 50x, and validity of just 3 days. You already know where I am going with this, right? Of course, the deposit bonuses also come with wagering requirements, though a bit lower, plus other restrictions, the main one being that the bonuses are credited as ‘bonus funds’, which are only valid on certain games.
The best thing to do is familiarise yourself with the full terms and conditions of the offer BEFORE you make a deposit – but, in fairness to EnergyCasino, unlike many other sites, links are clearly provided, spelling everything out in plain words. Basically, if you take the time to check out and understand the T&Cs, and then deposit as much as makes sense for you (i.e., you will be able to meet the requirements easily), then the EnergyCasino Welcome Bonus presents an excellent opportunity to get some real extra value from your first weeks.
UK Specific Welcome Offers
With most online casinos now offering market specific welcome offers for players in some regions, I decided to check out what was in store for the many UK players that EnergyCasino attracts, and I was pleasantly surprised by their novel approach.
UK players are offered an exclusive, tailor-made UK only welcome bonus that involves spinning a special wheel to claim one of the following offers:
- £5 No Deposit Bonus
- 100% Bonus up to £50 on your first deposit
The wheel is straightforward enough, with each player getting two spins, and then having to follow a simple procedure to claim their bonus.
To take advantage of the £5 No Deposit Bonus, an email needs to be sent to [email protected] with the subject line "5FREE", and the bonus should be credited within 24 hours. Of course, as with all such offers, there are terms and conditions attached. The main ones to keep in mind are that only one bonus is available per UK customer, it is subject to a £100 maximum withdrawal limit (everything above this will be removed), and a £30 minimum withdrawal threshold, there is a 50x wagering requirement, and the bonus is only valid for 3 days.
The 100% Bonus up to £50 offer from EnergyCasino does not require sending an email and will be added when a first deposit is made (if a player does not want to take advantage of this offer, they need to check the box that says “I don’t want any bonus”). Again, there are a few terms and conditions to be aware of. The main ones being that a £10 minimum deposit is required, it is only valid once per customer, it can’t be used in conjunction with any other offer, it is subject to a 35x wagering requirement with a 30-day time limit, and wagers on table games, video poker, and selected slots do not count.
Okay, so the EnergyCasino UK-specific new player bonuses aren’t going to make headlines, and the spinning wheel is really just a simple gimmick, but it made me smile, and as long as players read and understand the terms and conditions (which, as usual at EnergyCasino, are clearly provided in easy-to-follow language), they can get a nice little treat from the Energy team.
Tournaments, Offers, and Rewards
If we are honest, all Welcome Bonuses are just short-term carrots to try and attract players – what matters is what value the casino offers over the longer term. And, this is where I found EnergyCasino really stands out above the competition.
To start with, every day I logged on, I found there was a tournament running, giving the chance to win even more spins or funds. Again, the variety was apparent – with everything from a tournament called ‘Short & Sweet’, lasting just a few hours, to retro-themed ‘Flashback Friday’, and even the ‘Night Train’ giving insomniacs the change to win instead of counting sheep. Information about live and upcoming tournaments and offers was readily available, both on the dynamic sliders, and a dedicated page. Next to the ‘Tournaments’ page is also a ‘Promotions’ page, where you can find detailed information about special offers and bonuses.
Something that came as a pleasant surprise was the EnergyPoints reward scheme. Though I had not realized, every time you play slots for real money at EnergyCasino, they award you with points. Though I did not play long enough to really amass many (you only earn them playing with real money, and I was mostly using my bonus funds), it seems you can exchange these points for real cash, EnergySpins on selected games, or your choice from a variety of exclusive EnergyCasino branded gifts. To see what gifts are available, I just clicked on the ‘EnergyShop’ option and was presented with everything from T-shirts and hoodies, to signed sporting memorabilia, tech accessories, and even a Mediterranean vacation.
To get the excellent gifts, I was clearly going to have to be a very loyal player, for a very long time, but the spins and cash exchange (100 EP = €1) options make it a potential rewarding feature for normal players.
One of the first things I noticed about EnergyCasino was that it holds licenses from both the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission – which confirms it is a responsible business, run in a transparent and fair manner. With so many other casinos licensed in jurisdictions with much lower standards (like Curaçao, for example), this means EnergyCasino is a much safer choice.
Furthermore, as I noticed when using EnergyCasino, they use secure, end-to-end SSL encryption technology, to ensure that your personal data remains safe and sound. Also, before anyone can make an initial withdrawal, they have to provide detailed official documentation – but, when I did this, I found the entire process to be very straightforward and simple, with a secure upload facility provided on their site.
Depositing and withdrawing at EnergyCasino was an absolute breeze, with all the major services accepted. The precise options available to you will depend on your location, but in all, they accept Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, Qiwi, Yandex, Paysafecard, Zimpler, Moneta.ru, EPS, Euteller, Trustly, iDeal, Klarna, Entropay, TSI, Multibanco, and bank transfer. Regarding speed, I used an eWallet, and it was instant, though the site does say that other methods, like bank transfer, for example, can take up to five working days – though, this is pretty much standard anywhere.
A huge plus, in my opinion, is that EnergyCasino has a very generous €5,000 daily withdrawal limit – and, though I did not need to use anywhere near this amount. It is reassuring to know that if I had a major win, it would not be effectively ‘held hostage’ by a casino severely limiting daily withdrawals (we have all read these horror stories recently, where people have had a big win, and the casino only lets them withdraw a tiny amount per day!). At the other end of the spectrum, you can also withdraw as little as €20, and deposits as small as €10 can be made.
Though I did not experience a problem during my time at EnergyCasino, I did, of course, put their support team through their paces by playing the role of a confused newbie! And, it must be said, their support team passed with flying colours. They answered very quickly and helpfully on Live Chat, and when I called a few days later, they were equally as clear, courteous, and helpful. If only all support teams could be like this, the world would be a less stressful place! You can get in touch via Live Chat, phone, or email, 7 days per week, from 09:00 – 00:00 on working days, and from 13:00 – 21:00 on Saturday and Sunday (all times CET).
Mobile and Accessibility
Apparently, EnergyCasino underwent a complete rebuild in 2016, and it shows because it works perfectly on smartphones, tablets, and laptops – with dedicated mobile versions of many games also available. It is a much smoother experience than many of the more well-known sites, which can be clunky to navigate.
The EnergyCasino team appreciate that not everyone is comfortable with English, so they have also made the site available in German, Polish, Hungarian, Norwegian, Russian, Swedish, Finnish, Serbian, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
Though I was focused very much on EnergyCasino, I did look at EnergyBet too – it being just a click away. This award-winning sportsbook offers a massive range of sports, ranging from football to eSports, and entertainment and current events markets. The odds seemed reasonably competitive, and excellent promotions were being offered. As to be expected, there was a lot of live in-play betting on offer, in addition to traditional pre-game, and you could also try cool Virtual Sports Betting.
In a nutshell ‘yes.’ Sure, there are some gripes – like the wagering on the Welcome Bonus, and if you cannot remember the name of a slot you are looking for, it can be a chore to wade through them – but, all things considered, it is clearly one of the better casinos out there.
The real strengths of EnergyCasino are a genuinely interesting range of slots, a very sophisticated live casino, entertaining tournaments, superb player support, and total integrity. In truth, when EnergyBet is considered, it is much more than just a casino; it offers a complete online gaming and gambling package.
