Nolimit City is one of the most respected slot developers due to the unique content that they always offer gaming enthusiasts.
Their latest release known as Mental is one such proof, and this title offers an interesting story via its asylum theme.
Honestly, I must admit that this is very new to me, and I have never come across such a theme on a slot game in my many years of gaming.
I explored Mental, and below is my review:
This is a slot with 5 reels, 109 ways to win, and up to 20 rows. For its interesting features. I came across free spins that are accompanied by Enhancer Cells, and Fire frames among others.
Mental has a betting rate of between $0.20 to $70 per spin. Given the game’s interesting set-up, you need to match the provided symbols left to right, so as to enjoy great gameplay.
The highest prize that you possibly win here is 66,666x xs the stake, but the high volatility makes this a little challenging.
NoLimit City has given Mental an excellent RTP of 96.08%, and this goes a long way in taming the brutal volatility, especially for real money gamers.
One thing that I noticed about the symbols here is that they are designed to resemble the theme of the slot. I noticed 5 different patients on the reels, and 3 of them are male.
Others are organ icons like the eyes, lungs, hearts, brains, and some skeleton hands that are placed on the reels.
The wild feature appears as a glowing skull emblazoned with the letter “W” on its forehead. As usual, it is the symbol that I used to replace the regular icons of the slot.
The Fire Frame is another of the available features in the game, and it is a random one. Whenever I was lucky to trigger this feature, the picked symbols got split into 2.
If 2 Dead Patient icons appear on the reels, a similar feature is triggered. This activates a Patient icon with a varying multiplier of between 5x and 9,999xs.
Then there are the Enhancer Cells and these are located on the 2nd and 4th reels. They work in various forms, whereby, they can either reveal a Patient icon or the Dead Patient one. The xWays feature reveals 3 similar icons, in addition to expanding the height of these reels. The xSplit icon splits a symbol into 2.
If the spider symbols land on the 2nd and 4th reels, it will trigger the Mental Transform feature. This way, the spiders will transform into either a Patient or a Wild, an xWays or xSplit, or a Dead Patient icon.
The mental slot is packed with so many features, and another great one is the Autopsy Free Spins (comes with a Fire Frame feature) that is triggered when you land 3 Scorpions on the reels. Any extra Scorpion will reward you with you an additional Fire Frame as well as an extra spin.
The eerie inspiration suggests that Mental slot is a horror-themed game. This is confirmed by the accompanying music that sounds quite creepy.
I love the flawless design is flawless and the fact that it’s a slot that can be played across all devices.
Mental is a great slot that is brimming with features and great symbols, and a good setting to boot.
The prizes are awesome too, but given that it’s a slot that has a lot going on it, not to forget the high volatility, you may need to be a little more attentive with it.
